Goodbye, YouTube.

Goodbye, YouTube. As of today (Groundhog Day, 2021), you no longer can find my SpryFeet videos on YouTube.

YouTube has shown its willingness to flaunt Section-230 protection. Look, for example, at the number of PragerU videos that YouTube puts on its restricted list.

Here is another example. YouTube removed two videos from a U.S. Senate committee meeting in December, 2020. One of the videos included testimony by a world-renowned critical-care doctor. The physician described the overwhelming success of using ivermectin in early treatment for those exposed to Covid-19(84). YouTube censored the videos.

I launched the SpryFeet channel at YouTube on 16 June 2009, and I closed it today, 2 February 2021. Here are some of the channel’s lifetime statistics:

  • 81 videos posted
  • 444.6 hours of watch time
  • 1:34 average view-duration
  • 85.9% male; 14.1% female
  • 20.7% 18-24 years; 46.9% 25-34 years; 32.4% 55-64 years
  • 32.8% USA; 1.7% Mexico; 1.3% Canada; 0.3% UK; 0.2% Germany

I do not know whether or when I will post any of the videos to another site.

Warning: If in the future you see a “SpryFeet” channel at YouTube, then please note that the videos do not come from me.

YouTube lost my trust. YouTube no longer deserves to earn advertising revenue from my readers’ attention.
